Ghana went up against the dreaded Algeria. The Black Stars where hoping to finetune their preparation towards the AFCON in a friendly match with Algeria. It was a one-sided match that ended in tears for one of the countries.
The first goal came from Ounas at the 8th minute to give Algeria the lead. Jonathan scored a home goal. It was at the 74th minute. Things were getting bleak for Ghana as a home goal reduced their chance of equalizing.
The goal finale came from Slimani 79th minute to seal Algeria’s victory. It was a whooping 3 – 0 victory and Ghana went back home hoping to rebuild their squad.
Ghanaians complained that the left wing was really weak and Algeria exploited it. They also were disappointed at Samuel Owusu for his bad gameplay. they even asked how on earth he made it to the lineups and how is he even playing for Ghana.
It was a sad loss for Black Stars and with this performance they need to improve in other to stand a chance in the AFCON cup. Samuel Owusu also needs to step up his game and the right squad should be chosen.
