The global peace index is an analysed report made by the Institute of Economics And Peace on all countries in relation with the level of peace and freedom it citizens enjoy in a particular period of time. This report has seen many counties making it to the top in different years for which Ghana made in into the current list (2021).
Ghana was ranked first in West Africa and this left many people mouth opened for they never expected this. Considering the pre and post violence that happened just in the 2020 elections was nothing one can reckon. Aside the violence we encountered in the elections, there had been chaos in the northern part and Volta part of the country and series of kidnappings yet still we were ranked first in west Africa.
Continentally, Ghana was ranked second to all under the same speculations for which in general had Ghana being ranked the 38th most peaceful country in the world l. This sounds appreciable but citizens welcomed this message in a different style claiming this is not an end to their plights in relation with the economy.
Many netizens made their opinions about what the president shared clear in a way which seems to be useless. Many netizens remained the president of the many kidnappings that has occurred in the country for which he took no steps for which the Takoradi girls were one. Some also elaborated on the chaos that went on in the 2020 elections which they claim were as a result of the actions of his party members in attempt to steal votes.
