Kiagu Decides: DP Ruto’s Camp in Jubilation as UDA Candidate Leads in the Just Concluded Election

Deputy President William Ruto’s UDA Party has allegedly won the Kiagu Ward elections according to various sources. Kiagu ward which is located in Meru County held the by election on Thursday, December 16, 2021.

UDA Candidate Simon Kiambi was among the candidates seeking to lead the Kiagu ward. His opponents included Patrick Kathurima of chama cha Uzalendo part and Jubilee party candidate Samson Mugambo.

According to Sources and leaders from UDA party, Samson Kiambi won the election followed closely by Chama cha Kazi candidate with 1881 votes with only 2 polling stations remaining in tallying the votes. Kambi is set to be announced anytime by the IEBC as the Kiagu Ward MCA Elect any moment from now.

Following the results, Kenyans reacted with majority claiming this will be the replica in the 2022 presidential elections.
