How South East Leaders Ignored Anyim Pius And Declared Support For Moses Ayom For Igbo Presidency

As we are heading to the 2023 general elections, there is a growing clamour by some politicians in the country for the people of South-East zone to produce the next President of Nigeria. 

It is no more news that stakeholders from the Southeast have also been agitating for someone in their region to take over from President Buhari and they have finally come together to declared full support for a business mogul to join the presidential race in the forth coming election

According to Vanguard newspaper, leaders drawn from the South-East and South-South geo-political zones have resolved to work for the emergence of Moses Ayom as President, describing him as a credible and unifying leader the country needs to forge ahead in the next dispensation.

They also made it known to the public that one of the reasons they are endorsing Moses Ayom for president is because they believe that coming from that background of business where he has excelled, his leadership as a president will create an enabling environment for businesses to thrive which will bring prosperity to the country.

It is interesting to see how stakeholders in Southeast has ignored Anyim Pius Anyim and declared full support for Moses Ayom for 2023 presidency.

However, the former Senate President of Nigeria Senator Anyim Pius Anyim has also received endorsements outside his region. Civil society groups under Arewa Concerned Civil Society Organisations of Nigeria (ACCSON) in Kaduna revealed that the next man to occupy the presidential seat after President Muhammadu Buhari’s should be Anyim Pius Anyim.

He made it known to Nigerians that if he is given the chance to become the next president reunite Nigeria, he will refocus, reunite and bring everybody together to have a sense of nationhood, and also lift youths out of unemployment so as to preserve the future generations.
