Bishop David Oyedepo, the General Overseer of the Living Faith Church Worldwide spoke at Hour of Visitation, Shiloh 2021. He talked about “Operating In The Realm Of More Than A Conqueror” and he advised them to wake up because in this world we shall have tribulations: troubles across nations. There is nowhere you can run to. Troubles across all nations. “But cheer up” take responsibility, get your faith on fire, keep your faith on fire against the day of challenge. It is the spirit of faith that empowers believers to dare the ‘undareable’, speak the unspeakable, and command incredible results.

According to him, that is no general faith. That is Heaven’s speaking faith, it is the spirit of your Father that speaketh in you. That is not you. You can’t see a fiery furnace and be talking grammar. You will bow first and then repent later. But with the spirit of faith, there is no unspeakable thing, it fires up in you and you triumph gloriously. “We are not saying there will not be challenges, we are saying you have what it takes if you will take responsibility,” he said.

Speaking further, he said that you cannot overcome with fear, you are ever a victim of fear. If these battles will not end and fear is a master strategy of the wicked one, then you better treasure the place of the spirit of faith and take responsibility in keeping that spirit on fire. He said that if you have no faith, you will have all fear; Little faith equals some fear; Great faith equals no fear; All of faith equals none of fear; Some of faith equals some of fear. He said that faith is in degrees and you have to feed on the level of faith you are, to move to the next. It won’t jump on you. To keep that faith alive, you have to take responsibility to keep feeding that faith with the Word of life. Standing strong on the altar of prayer.

The cleric then claimed that when faith comes alive, you are at rest. He said that they lost one engine in the air and the Pilot’s head was issuing sweat. He wasn’t sweating, sweat was coming out from the fountain of the sweat part of his brain. The plane was slowing down, there was no slow motion, no traffic in the air. He asked: What is going on? “We just lost one engine.” the Pilot replied. He said, “relax.” He then went back to the cabin and asked his team who were travelling with him, “will you like to have some snacks?” He said that he must not tell them that there was an engine failure, otherwise, he might have a lot of crashes. They can open the door and start jumping out. He told the Pilot, “relax, make you a U-turn back to Lagos.” and they landed safely.

Finally, he said that you need to build your faith against the day of battle. No mentor can help you in that time, no teaching priest can help you. What is in you and you are what remains. If a believer will not take personal responsibility, he will end up a liability. Take responsibility.
