The immediate past National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has revealed the reason why the Governors of Ebonyi, Cross-River and Zamfara States left the Party to join the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). It will be recalled that Secondus was suspended from Office in August 2021, he later filed a petition to challenge his removal at a Court of Appeal sitting in Port-hacourt, but the Court dismissed his Case.
The Rivers State-born Politician subsequently went to the Supreme Court. Secondus highlighted the role he played in making the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike who he is today.

These Three Governors left the PDP to join the APC because they believed the party has been hijacked by a Serving Governor whose name was not mentioned. According to him, the Defectors believed that the Governor is playing the Role of a Godfather in the Party. This infuriated them and they subsequently switched allegiance with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
