Four things you learn as you get older

Welcome to another article of mine. Finally, today marks the year 2021 and we are patiently waiting to be ushered into a new year. As the years go by, we also tend to grow, either by weight, height and even our mental faculties. Today’s post is based on what you tend to grasp as you get older. Let’s check them out.

Making friends with fake people:

One may ask are there even people like that out there? Yes there are. Sometimes it may take months or even years to figure it out, but they always come out of their shells. Note that it is not everyone who smiles at you that you must bring into your circle.

Not everything needs a reaction:

Society tells us that “when you are silent, people are always going to walk over you”. Own that silence. Don’t let people get the best of you. Whatever reaction they want to get from you; don’t give them that satisfaction. Just sit and observe.

Trust your intuition:

That feeling that something is wrong, no matter how insignificant it is, you just have to trust it. Be it about a person or a situation. Don’t be too curious to know how it would end. When you don’t feel safe in a situation or in a company of someone, feel free to leave.

You don’t need to be included, understood or accepted:

When you look in the mirror, you see this amazing person. Someone unique with goals and aspirations, that needs to be achieved, in their life. Don’t listen to naysayers when they say that you can’t do it. If you have to be in your own company to be who you are and not follow the crowd, do just that.

Thank you for reading.
