Quiet Roads in Wa, Upper West Region

Christmas is celebrated to mark the Birth of Christ and as a result many Christians come together to celebrate their prophet and messenger, Who was born in Bethlehem though other call him Jesus of Jerusalem.

Christmas in Upper West Region was not so enthusiastic due to some factors we could possibly decode.

Firstly, E-Levy has flooded the thought of many with others thinking about the faith of their businesses should the bill be passed, the slowness of transactions and loss of profits should the bill be passed has become a call for concern by several people.

Secondly, Reopening of Schools or resumption of Academic Activities. Most Students will be returning to school in January and as a result, parents are expected to pay fees in January, we all know how January treats people financially. It means every parent of individual who is to go to school in January has to begin saving this December, the opposite of what is expected which is celebration and chilling.

Thirdly, No Discounts on goods and services, most individuals are motivated to shop due to the discounts they get in most of these shops, once there is no discount most people opt out due to economic factors, the Ghana Revenue Authority needs an extra 18 Billion Ghana Cedis to Meet their Revenue Target of Ghc57 Billion Cedis for the Year 2021.

Lastly, Cost of Transportation, Several People Could not travel to their home regions or towns because of the cost of transportation, this increases economic activities in the Region, once someone travels home, they spend the little they got from the city in Buying goods and other items, this leaves more money behind at their communities so in the absence of travels, the town or community becomes dull. Monday and Tuesday will be holidays according the The President.
