Ghanaian Highlife/Afrobeat singer, Gregory Bortey Newman, affectionately known as King Promise has revealed that he is currently seeing someone in his life.

Speaking in an interview on TV3’s New Day with Cookie Tee, King Promise who is known to be one of the good-looking musicians in Ghana stated that he currently has a girlfriend.
He made this known when the host of the show quizzed him; “If a girl wants to get you, finds you attractive and all of that, how does she get into your arms?”
King Promise swiftly replied that he has a girlfriend. However, he made mention that his relationship status might change the next time he is being asked the same question depending on how he feels at the moment.
“Maybe you may ask me tomorrow and I will say ‘I don’t have a girlfriend…I can change it tomorrow depending on how I feel,” he added.
In other news, one of the suspects who callously murdered the two policemen at Zuarungu in the Upper East region has reportedly been gunned down by some police officers during an operation at Kpatia in the Talensi District.
It would be vividly recalled that two police officers, Constable Emmanuel Akowuah and Constable Mohammed Sule who were on a night patrol in the vicinity were shot dead by the suspected armed robbers.
According to reports filed by the police, the Zuarungu District Command received a distress call reporting an ongoing robbery at Zuarungu Market on the 15th of November, 2021, at about 2020 hours. While men were being organized to respond to the robbery, another distress call came through saying two (2) police officers had been shot dead.
