Government workers in tears as salary arrears for January and February 2021 failed to be paid

Government workers are in a dilemma and a state of shock as their expectations from the government turned out to be a hoax. The government, after a long protests and renegotiation from the labour union, agreed to pay a meagre 4% increments in salaries of his workers in 2021. The increment was going to be paid in arrears since it was decided in the middle of the year. The arrears have been paid from June in August, May in September, April in October, March in November, and that of February and January were supposed to be paid this December.

As of today, Tuesday 21st December 2021, government workers who have received their salaries have been shocked by the government because a lot of them did not have their arrears for January and February paid as promised by the government. This has left the workers in awe because they cannot fathom the reason behind the non payment. “Has the government deliberately done this?”; “did the Controller and Accountant General made this error?” These and many more questions are being asked.

We are hereby bringing this to the notice of the stakeholders to look into it.
