After using all means to cease government from using the current Ministry of Information building, Nana Yaa Jantuah ceased the opportunity at the NPPs conference to explain their point.
The Convention People’s Party CPP led by Nana Yaa Jantuah signalled the ceasure of the Ministry of Information building from government. This office is occupied by Honorable Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, his deputies and auxiliary staff.
In a verbal petition to His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo which was face to face at the NPPs Delegate conference, Nana Yaa Jantuah explained that the Ministry of Information building was built by the CPP as a political party. They used it as their National Headquarters without any government intervention or support.
Sadly, successful governments after Kwame Nkrumah forcibly took it away from them and used it for different purposes.
” We need our building back. The building in which the Ministry of Information works was built by the toil of market women in the CPP in 1966. His Excellency, kindly and humbly cease government business in that building and hand it over to the CPP as a means of reparation and reconciliation ” Nana Yaa Jantuah told the President.
As to whether Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo will listen and cease government business in that building, we’re yet to know.
