President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo has reacted and responded to the concerns of people who stay close to the borders in his address to the nation on the measures his government is taking against the spread of the Corona Virus. Nana Addo explained that his decision to close the border despite the fact that the border served as a livelihood for many people was very necessary. He believed that the closure of the border had helped limit the movement of the virus into the country.
Nana Addo revealed that his government is monitoring the disease and vaccination levels in our neighboring countries. He explained that until the government is satisfied the borders will remain close. This sad message from the President has sparked some massive reactions from Ghanaians.
Winnifred, a Ghanaian, advised Nana Addo to open the land borders and give the residents some measures to follow. She did not understand why the airport where the first case was recorded is still open whiles the borders still remain closed. Check out other reactions.
