It is about that time of the year where people want to take every means possible to get money and celebrate this festive season. This has brought about the rise in robbery and murder cases in the country. Just this night, some highway robbers have attacked two men on their way to work on a night shift Awutu Loye in Awutu Senya West of the Central Region.
This robbery incident has led to the death of one Emmanuel Gavor and the other, Kwadwo Abbam was injured on his feet. The two men were asked by their boss to go on night duty to excavate sand in Awutu Loye. According to the survivor, Kwadwo Abbam, they were moving on their motorcycle when the armed robbers came out from the bush and asked them for their money.
They pointed the gun at Emmanuel Gavor and Abbam told him to bring out the money quickly before he gets shot. But Emmanuel was trying to play smart with the thieves and they shot him in his ribs and died instantly. Abbam brought out a little money he had in his pocket to the robbers. The robbers took the money that was in the deceased’s pocket with their phones as well.
They shot Abbam’s feeds and asked him to leave with the motorcycle. The body of the deceased was taken to the Winneba Trauma Specialist Hospital Morgue. Abbam also was taken to the same hospital for treatment. Chief Superintendent Joshua Semanyo of Awutu Senya West Police Command said that the Police are about, to begin with, investigations.
However, what does not make sense to them is the fact that the armed robbers asked Abbam to go away with the motorcycle and only took away the little money they had on them and killed Emmanuel. He added that investigations will tell who these robbers are and the intent behind their actions.  Â
