The Bono East Regional command of the Ghana Immigration Service has arrested 55 persons that entered Ghana through unapproved routes. According to the reports, 54 of them are Niger Citizens while only one is a Nigerian. None of the arrested had a valid Visa to enter our country. Neither were they also screened for COVID 19.

MrDespite ECOWAS relations which makes it easier to enter African countries like Ghana freely, it has become strict due to the emergence of Corona virus. What makes the situation more problematic is that Ghana has still closed its boarders. How the 55 illegal migrants entered is still a mystery.

According to the Bono Regional Immigration Service Mr Enoch Abrokwa Annor explained that, they suspect that some of the illegal migrants would have settled in the country for Greener Pastures while the Remaining continued the journey to neighboring Cote Divoire.

Luck eluded them when their car developed a fault at Tuobodom. The Ghana Immigration Service laid ambush and arrested them all upon intelligence picked.
