The trainees of the Npp government flagship program, Nation Builders Corps have called on H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo Addo to ensure they get their September and October stipends since the Christmas festivity is getting closer.
The over sixty thousand trainees expressed their bitterness to the press in an interview today.
They stated that, the Chief Executive Officer for the Program Dr. Ibrahim Anyars has betrayed them ,since he has refused to honor the promise he made about some months ago.
“We feel neglected and cheated by the authorities of the scheme, we are family men and women, honestly , we find it very difficult to survive since we have not been paid for the past three months , we are pleading with government to expedite the payment for us”, they noted.
Besides, the frustrated trainees argued that, they were convinced and coerced by their Coordinators to campaigned and voted for the Npp government to reward them with permanent jobs , but suddenly, the Npp government has turned them down.
“We have become topic for discussions in our societies over the President failure to honor his permanent jobs promise, we have the prerequisite requirements to be recruited as permanent staff ,so we are appealing to the Npp government to honor its promises”.
In conclusion, the trainees questioned the essence of the career pathway program they were told to enrolled into.
“What is the essence of the career pathway exit program the secretariat told us to follow ? We are frustrated now and calling Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and other stakeholders to add their voices to our plea”, they emphasized.
