Originator of the Afro-dancehall genre, Stonebwoy earned three credits in the 64th annual Grammy Awards.
The BHIM Nation boss was shortlisted for his participation as a featured artist on three albums that were released in the year under review for “containing at least 51% playing time of new reggae recordings,” according to the Recording Academy.
Many Ghanaians took to the internet to congratulate the dancehall maestro for putting Ghana on the map.

In the midst of the serious applause from music lovers, Ghanaian born US based musician, Rocky Dawuni, has rubbished Stonebwoy‘s Grammy nomination during an interview on Citi Tv.
In the interview, Rocky Dawuni who is a two times Grammy nominee explained that getting featured on an album nominated in the Grammy’s does not make one a nominee hence Stonebwoy should stop throwing dust into the eyes of the masses.
Stonebwoy who has come across these comments from Rocky Dawuni has gone into Archie bonkers and subtly described the music legend as envious of his feat.

In a post he shared on his snapchat, Stonebwoy lamented over how the big dwags in the industry always want to discredit the feats of the young ones which is very inappropriate.
He wrote;
“Chairman is so quick to remove credit on a young kid!. We know them o..but we say dem change o dem never change”
