M.anifest has taken to Twitter to share the tracklist for his much-anticipated album, ‘Madina To The Universe.’
The former VGMA Rapper of the Year thanked all the collaborators whose input ensured the birth of his new masterpiece while reminding fans when the album itself drops. M.anifest featured some local and international stars like Vic Mensa, Patoranking, Ladipoe, Adekunle Gold and Tiggs da Author.
“It’s been a painstaking journey moulding these tracks into the beauties they are and stringing them together as one cohesive piece,” Manifest wrote while announcing the good news to music lovers.
“Grateful to all my collaborators for showing up and showing out. Madina To The Universe this Thursday. Love is love.” On the inspiration behind the naming of the album Madina, M.anifest said;
“Madina is my ‘village’ within my city. A formative place for me as a child. Beyond memories it is where my mom and grandma still live, alongside colourful people and places that have shaped the window through which I see the world.”
In other news, American singer, Ne-Yo has said he wishes he’s the mastermind behind Wizkid and Tems’ ‘Essence’ song which has achieved global mainstream.
In an interview with the American entertainment magazine, NME, the music star spoke about songs he liked. When Wizkid‘s ‘Essence’ popped up in the conversation, the award-winning singer, dancer and songwriter said he wished her penned down the song because it’s one of those records that just makes sense.
He also revealed that he had once met the Nigerian Afrobeat superstar although he wasn’t sure Starboy would remember their meeting.
He’s quoted as saying; “It’s one of those records that just makes sense. They could run it back 17 times and you ain’t gonna say nothing, you’re just gonna let it happen. I wish that I’d have thought of it first.
I met him once, real quick – he wouldn’t remember. But I’m super proud of that dude for making the moves that he’s making. He’s one of the new generations that I can genuinely say I respect.”
