The exploits of the newly installed Inspector General of Police, George Akuffo Dampare has caught the eyes of Dr. UN and he has popped up to toss his legendary sense of humour into the buzz.

According to him, he and his team are monitoring the IGP and in due time, they might award him with one of their coveted plaques from their reputable organization.
In a studio discussion with Abieku Santana on Okay FM’s Ekwansodwodwo, Dr. UN stated that he’s very impressed with Mr. Dampare and encouraged him to continue in that same direction.
Dampare replaced George Oppong Boanuh on August 1, 2021, and acted in his stead but has now been confirmed as the substantive boss.
He was sworn into office on October 8, 2021, by President Nana Akufo-Addo.
“He has demonstrated he will be an effective leader of the Police. We have a worthy successor to Mr. Oppong-Buanoh (the immediate past IGP) and the others who have gone before him. Government will do its best to assist you,” President Akufo-Addo said.
With his confirmation at the seat of government today, IGP George Akuffo Dampare has become Ghana’s 23rd IGP.
