Meet husband and wife who hawk Asaana and bread for a living in Accra

A pretty couple has inspired others after they were spotted hawking Asaana and bread for a living on one of the busy streets in Ghana’s capital, Accra.

Asaana is a popular local drink in Ghana made from fermented maize.

In some parts of the country, it is referred to as elewonyo whiles it is known in other countries as corn beer drink.

While it is rare to see a husband and wife engage in the same business on the street, these couple has defied the odds, putting their status in the marriage aside and fending for themselves on the busy streets of Accra.

They’re mostly seen at Dzorwulu, Shiashie and East Legon.
