Award-winning Ghanaian Blogger, Kobby Kyei has expressed his displeasure in how the majority of Ghanaians presume that blogging on the net is all about invading other people’s privacy(gossiping).

Most people have the perception that bloggers only feed on negativity in other to gain numbers on their websites and make a few bucks for themselves rather than promoting, educating, and entertaining society with positive trends and informative content.

For some time now, bloggers have been slammed for promoting negativity on the internet, poking their noses in other people’s affairs, and sometimes, ends them in trouble when they are being accused of defamation.

It is at the back of this that Kobby Kyei has taken to his social media to rubbish the perception that blogging is all about gossiping about people. “About 80% of Ghanaians have the perception that blogging is all about gossiping, it’s sad”, Kobby Kyei said.

He gave a few tips on how bloggers can erase this perception from the minds of their readers, promoting a resourceful brand and promoting positivity in their writeups on their respective websites.

According to the blogger, it is advisable for bloggers to create their own niches and not get influenced by what the majority is doing on the net in exchange for a few bucks. Following the masses he said adds no value to the blogger, urging for each brand to be identified with something. He lamented that it has been a norm in Ghana for bloggers to dirty personalities in their writeups to gain numbers quickly instead of the gradual process.

He concluded by saying that bloggers must make sure they promote relevant content on their sites even if it takes years for that article to make sense.
