South Africa made a slow start to their 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers and head coach Huo Broos is expected to make changes against the Black Stars.

Broos may be tempted to change things slightly for the visit of the Black Stars on Monday evening.

Ineffective attacking midfielder Gift Links was taken off at halftime and replaced by Bongokuhle Hlongwane, who joined Evidence Makgopa up top.

Central midfielder Sipho Mbule is another option should Broos wish to freshen up his side.

Ghana are top of Group G and the only way South Africa can overtake them is to beat them on Monday at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg.

Their 0-0 draw in Zimbabwe has left them trailing Ghana by two points after heading into the second round of games.

Broos wasn’t in charge when South Africa last played Ghana earlier this year.

The match ended 1-1 with Ghana qualifying for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.

But the Belgian knows how to beat Ghana when the stakes are high having done it in 2017 when his Cameroon conquered Black Stars 2-0 in the semi-final of the Africa Cup of Nations.
