President of the Songwriters Association of Ghana and Artiste manager Mr. Logic has suggested the need to modifying some award schemes in the country.

According to Mr. Logic, the various award shows in the country should be ready to modify their ways and strategies of organizing their award shows to suit the interest of the musicians and the industry as a whole.
This comes after legendary Hiplife record engineer and producer Da Hammer stated that the various award schemes in Ghana push many musicians into depression after they failed to any an award during an event.
Da Hammer stated it’s totally wrong to nominate an artist in nine solid categories in an award show, invite him/ her to sit at the front row seat during the event, and at the end of the awards, the artist will fail to win even a single award.
He said this kind of gesture pushes many artists into depression after the awards and the trolls on social media even make matters worse, citing Okomfour Kwadee as a classical example of an artist who was depressed after he failed to win an award.
Mr. Logic in his submission on the ‘Day Break Hitz’ morning show hosted by Andy Dosty on Hitz FM stated he totally agrees with Da Hammer as it’s about time organizers of such events start making some changes in how the award musicians.
