The renowned media personality made this known in a recent submission he made on the popular Ghanaian radio show, DayBreak Hitz.
His comments comes after Ghanaian gospel musician, Diana Hamilton swept four awards including the Artiste of the Year at the just ended Vodafone Ghana Awards.
In his submission, he said;
“Some Christians saw Diana Hamilton’s vic tory as one against the world. Everybody thinks I am speaking against VGMA and the Christian fraternity. I am even speaking for them.
My point is, Christians songs are now being commercialized. It is sad to know we don’t see that there is a blunder in putting Christian songs alongside worldly songs. Some of these gospel artistes do not even collaborate with the secular artistes.
Gospel Song of the Year and Gospel Artiste of the Year should be the only category for Gospel artistes. That should be the height. They shouldn’t be included in the Artiste of the Year category.
Diana Hamilton wouldn’t have won Artiste of the Year without votes. Someone posted on Facebook that the Church deliberately voted for Diana Hamilton to win Artiste of the Year.”
