Somewhere in the year 2018, some producers of Kumawood Films led by Samuel Nyamekye of Miracles Films fame run to Bishop Obinim for prayers to revive the dead industry.

Samuel Nyamekye before the congregants f International Gods Way Church told Bishop Daniel Obinim that they had come there because the movie industry is currently dead and that they need his prayers to revive it.

According to him, the movies even though they work hard in producing them are not attractive to the people hence the low patronage.

He indicated that Bishop Obinim being the angel of our time should pray to make their movies attractive in order to get the public attracted to their movies and also ensure that they have a boom in their returns.

But in the best knowledge of Bishop Charles Agyin Asare of Perez Chapel International fame, the antidote to the Ghana Film Industry especially Kumawood’s revival is funding and not prayers!

Speaking to Christian Agyei Frimpong on Anigye Mere on Onua Fm, he pointed out that governments can inject some funds into our movie industry. To save it from the current deplorable state.
