Mona is now the host of Biribi Gyegye Wo show on Onua TV, days after she quit her role at Kantanka TV as host of Link Up. Speaking to Graphic , the controversial presenter revealed why she accepted this new challenge at Media General, instead of furthering her education as she ascribed to the reason why she quit Kantanka.

“When I left Katanka TV, it was with the intention of going back to school because like I say always, I wasn’t in Ghana to stay, it was for holidays but I know the CEO of Katanka so I was like ‘why not do something for the mean time.’

“I didn’t leave on a bad note, but after this decision, I got a lot of offers and going through, I picked TV3 because everyone wants to be part of a brand that will build their career. I will also need money to pay my school fees I, therefore, chose the one that will make that possible. It’s really good feeling to be a part of the team,” she said.

On her personality, she said;

“I’m the reserved type; I let you see what I want you to see. When I have to work, I need to put on that working dress and give it my best. I love being indoors, watching television and being on my phone. Honestly, I’m a boring person to have as a friend. Do not trust me when it comes to inviting me to an event, I may disappoint you,” she said.

In an answer to if she knew she was going to be a social media and television sensation today, she said, “Yes, I knew I will be one day. I have always loved the media. Television presenting is not something I wanted to do, rather I love acting and I am very good at it and I have featured in a few movies like Banker to Banker.”

“I was trained by Papa Kwesi Ackom, a TV producer and director, but along the line, my parents made me stop because it was affecting my education. My second shot in the media space was a presenting job and that has been it since,” she added.
