NLC Set To Embark On A Nationwide Protest.

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has announced that they might embark on a nationwide protest on 27th January 2022. They stated that the protest will be carried out in order to speak against the moves to increase fuel prices by the Nigerian Government.

This information was contained in a letter issued by the General Secretary of the group (Comrade Emmanuel Ugboaja) to executives of the party in the 36 states of the federation.

However, the letter requested that executives convene a State Executive Council (SEC) meeting where they can map out strategies to ensure the success of the action in their respective states.

Bandits Kill 10 People In Zamfara State.

Some communities in Zamfara State have been deserted after bandits killed 10 people and abducted 33 women in seven villages within Gusau Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

The residents fled to Gusau town for safety, as there were no security agents in the villages to combat the bandits.

An indigene (Malam Shehu Kura) who escaped to the Damba area in Gusau said that the bandits were on motorcycles and moved from village to village looting shops and houses.

A Group In Enugu State Passes Vote Of Confidence On Governor Ugwuanyi.

Members of a group in Enugu North Senatorial zone known as “Odinma Nsukka” have passed a vote of confidence on Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State for bringing peace and stability in the state.

They also commended Ugwuanyi for his infrastructural development especially in the rural areas.

A politician from Abia state (Mazi Emma Uche) has called on Nigerians to encourage the efforts of the administration of President Buhari in order to overcome the challenges facing the country.
