President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM party leader Raila Odinga have been reaching out to One Kenya Alliance leaders,so that they can form a formidable alliance against DP Ruto.

Raila Odinga, who has launched his candidacy for president, is apparently seeking a new alliance with new and old partners, including leaders of the One Kenya Alliance (OKA), by pledging constitutional revisions to promote power sharing if his party joins the next government.

President Uhuru Kenyatta is alleged to have stated that even if the BBI was overturned by the Court of Appeal, the positions of prime minister and its two deputies would be created. This indicates that the BBI may make a comeback if ODM forms the government as Raila Odinga has repeatedly stated.

The reports have been taken as Uhuru and Raila’s attempts to woe One Kenya Alliance leaders, to form a coalition ahead of the 2022 elections.

Already,One Kenya Alliance leaders have said their allied MPs will support Coalition Ammendment Bill, which Ruto’s allies claim it is designed to help Raila Odinga.
