Alhaji Seidu Osman, an Islamic clerk has been puzzled by the actions of a 14-year-old boy after the boy traced him to deliver a polythene bag he had dropped on the ground. The boy Justice Ansah, on this morning, walked to the house of Alhaji Seidu and delivered a missing polythene bag which Alhaji had been searching for.Â
The polythene which contained bundles of money was still sealed in its Sellotape as Alhaji had packaged when Justice delivered it this morning. Justice, unknown of the content in the black sealed polythene, did not bother to check the content of the package when he found the money last week Monday.Â
In delivering the money to Alhaji Seidu this morning, Justice told the Islamic clerk that, he was following him when he dropped the money. I tried calling you on Monday, but you didn’t hear me and took the car. I picked the polythene and placed it in my bag but forgot about until it until last night, Justice said to Alhaji when he was asked how he found the money.
Justice from his narration, picked the polythene bag on the afternoon of Monday 20 December when he was coming from school. Alhaji Seidu was on the roadside waiting for a trotro from Offinso to Kumasi, to purchase a v6 engine for his car when he dropped the polythene containing the money together with other loads he was carrying.Â
Alhaji in a hurry to enter the car to Kumasi, left the polythene on the ground after picking his briefcase. He became aware of the missing polythene after ten minutes but he could not find the money when he returned back to the junction he stood to pick the car. Alhaji from one information centre to the other, kept making announcements but could not find the polythene bag until this morning when Justice delivered it to his house.
Justice was looking for a pen for his father last night when he opened his school bag and found the polythene. He immediately remembered the polythene was that of Alhaji Seidu after he had taken on Monday afternoon. Justice delivered the polythene to Alhaji this morning and all the money was intact.Â
In shock, Alhaji Seidu thanked Justice’s parents for raising a diligent boy and promised to cater for Justice’s next term school fees when school reopens. Alhaji Seidu has also promised Justice a bicycle when Justice was asked what he wanted for Christmas after delivering the money.
