Manifest is a popular Ghanaian singer, rapper and song writer. He has a plethora of awards and is seen by many as one of Ghana’s most intelligent music artistes. The 39 year is the son of famous Ghanaian lawyer Tsatsu Tsikata. Manifest himself goes by the name Kwame Ametepee Tsikata, a name he prefers not to use as it puts some pressure on him because of the affluence of his father.

In an interview with Bridget Otoo on ‘One on One’ he talked at length about his career and the way forward. One of the interesting questions posed by the audience was why Manifest didn’t become a lawyer. In a simple response, Manifest queried why his dad didn’t become a musician like himself. The answer got both Bridget and the musician laughing. According to the rapper his mum and dad ended up being lawyers but this didn’t mean he had to follow suit.

He explained that the ability to be a lawyer was just not imbedded in him and as such he had to follow what his passion was, rather than follow pressure from people and become a lawyer like his dad. He called for more support for local artistes from the government and concluded that doing music has been one of the best things that happened to him.
