About two years ago these kids were bullied by other people by calling them all sorts of names like monkeys and among others because of their strange faces. They were born with an illness which made them look different from the others, their neighbours used to bully them and this made their mother named Claudine to lock them in the house for so many years to avoid criticism. According to the woman, they were abandoned by their father because of this kids condition.
Life became difficult for the mother, she was not able to provide their daily meals, then Afrimax Tv visited the family with a lot of things. Claudine’s wish was to see her children going to school but realized that, her wish will not come true. But after the visit of Afrimax TV, Ubumwe Community Centre which train children through physiotherapy especially those who are disabled came for the kids. When the children were sent to the Ubumwe Community Centre, there have been a lot of changes in their lives, they are now clean and have become healthier than before.
They were given physiotherapy and other basic education. There were given a house to stay and was taken care by someone whiles their mother stays back home. Today the children looks good and have learned how to associate themselves with other people. These three little angels are now smiling beautifully with the chance they were given to be with other kids. Having gone through a lot difficulties, lived in a house which was too old, Claudine is now happy.
The kids were given a Christmas gifts and were also taken to somewhere with their mother and they really enjoyed their journey. To their surprise, there taken back to their neighbourhood and they have been gifted with a brand new house as their Christmas present. Claudine is overjoyed for having her children back and also for their new house. She appreciates what everyone has done for her family. The house has three bedrooms and a sitting room and each room has a new bed and mattress, the living room too has beautiful sofas and a television for this children and their mother.
All what the woman can say is to give thanks to all those who helps in building this house and all the things for them. She never thought of having a house of her own and also sitting in the living room watching TV. She also thanks Ubumwe Community Centre for giving such treatment for her children, at first they could not walk properly but now they can walk well. Claudine said now she will not locked them in the house again as she used to do before but will allow them to play with other kids.
