The recent circulating news that has undoubtedly sparked massive stir, debates and arguments across all social media platforms was when the unexpected statement by the Ashanti regional chairman of the NPP during the most anticipated annual National delegates conference at the NPP’s stronghold finally popped up.
Speaking at the most anticipated annual National delegates conference, Chairman Wontumi took the privilege to highlight that, Ghana is currently better than both the USA and the United Kingdom considering the good policies implemented by the incumbent President, Nana Akufo Addo in other to move the country forward amidst Covid19 outbreak.
Surprisingly, Chairman Wontumi later took the opportunity to send another strong message to the flag bearer of the largest opposition party, NDC, John Mahama whilst claiming that, the NDC cannot stop the NPP from ‘breaking the 8’.
“I have a piece of advice for Mahama and the NDC people; you delayed us in 2008 but you cannot stop us from winning the 2024 elections. It is a movement. We will win the 2024, 2028 and 2032 elections. NDC cannot stop us”, Chairman Wontumi emphatically stated.
Upon the unexpected statement from the Ashanti regional chairman of the NPP, Chairman Wontumi popped up, most Ghanaians took the privilege to share their immense thoughts and opinions over the NPP claiming to ‘break the 8’ aside winning the 2028 and 2032 general elections whilst others stated otherwise.

From the above comments, we can clearly notice that most individuals were disappointed in the Chairman Wontumi and the NPP for their claims to beat their immediate competitors, NDC in the upcoming 2024, 2028 and 2032 general elections aside claiming that Ghana is better than both the USA and United Kingdom whilst others stated otherwise.
