The Conference of Principals of Colleges of Education (PRINCOF) in a release statement wishes to inform all first year students to ensure that they are vaccinated before coming to campus.
PRINCOF has joined the fight against the spread of COVID-19. To that effect, Principals of all Colleges of Education are expected to insert a sentence in their admission letters to all prospective first year students.
Henceforth all first year students are to ensure that they are vaccinated and should provide evidence of been vaccinated before they will be offered accommodation in their various hall of residence in the Colleges.
Again, ” all continuing students are expected to be vaccinated before they report to campus”, the statement added.
This statement comes in wake of the government of Ghana,s commitment to mandatory vacinnate all it’s citizens.
As part of efforts to get more Ghanaians to vaccinate against COVID-19, government has introduced new measures at the Kotoka International Airport.
It has also announced plans to prevent the unvaccinated population from accessing certain public spaces such as stadia and entertainment event centres during the yuletide.
In related development the 2021/2022 Colleges of Education admission list after the Principals of College of Education (PRINCOF) directed for the suspension of its release is finally out and applicants can check.
The 46 public Colleges of Education admission list for the 2021/2022 academic year list for first choice applicants is posted at the various websites of the colleges.
Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum, the Minister for Education following the release of the 2021/22 admission list has said first-year students to be admitted into the various public teacher training institutions will report to school on January 8, 2021.
