Church Elder, 58, impregnates an 11-year-old girl at Pakro near Nsawam

A Pentecostal church elder in the Pakro township of the Nsawam Adoagyiri Municipal, has been caged in police cells after one Kennedy Bobby Adusei called for his arrest this morning. Kennedy in explaining the cause of the arrest of the elder, stated that nothing will stop him from jailing the 56-year-old man after he had confirmed to impregnating an 11-year-old girl. 

The girl, name withheld, is the niece of Kennedy but never did the mother of the girl tell Kennedy, that, his niece was pregnant for a Church Elder despite the numerous calls Kennedy had made to the girl’s mother whiles he was in Germany. Kennedy after arriving from Germany on Monday 13 December, found out his niece, the daughter of his only sister has been impregnated.

We are two and that has been it since our childhood. Our parents did not give birth to many and thus, myself and my elder sister only. The girl is my niece and the youngest child of my sister. The husband to the girl, my brother-in-law is a church member with the elder and that was how come the church was able to convince them to make the case a home one. 

With me, I will not settle for anything and will make sure the right thing is done legally, and nothing can stop me from getting there. I called for his arrest after I found my niece pregnant. She is just eleven years and has stopped schooling because of her condition. 

She is the talk of the town and doesn’t go out because of ridicules, and teasing from her mates and the community. The elder thought he could use his position to get away, Kennedy said in frustration after Elder Samuel Ohemeng Agyemang was arrested this morning. 

Elder Agyemang, who has admitted to impregnating the girl, had taken responsibility for taking care of the girl ever since the pregnancy came to light. The parents of the girl, being Pentecostal members were stopped from seeking refuge in the law when some church elders of the church came together and pleaded with them to settle the matter at home.

Kennedy been a German resident, has refused to let the case rest at home after it had been settled on 20 July 2021, while he was in Germany. Kennedy has therefore awakened the case and with the help of Pakro police officers, had caused the arrest of Elder Samuel Ohemeng Agyemang for impregnating his niece.
