The Western Region Police Command is making sure that the laws of the country bite hard at a young man who is responsible for the death of two teenagers at Nkroful in the Sekondi Takoradi Metropolis of the Western Region. The Police have updated the public about the issue and indicated that the suspect is currently assisting them in investigations.

Superintendent Isaac Kwesi Sorkpa, the Western Region MTTD Commander indicates that the case has been referred to the office of the Attorney General for advice and he is optimistic that the suspect involved will not be spared.

It would be recalled a driver perceived to be drunk killed two young sisters whose names have been given as Gloria and Abigail Quarcoo on a pavement at Nkroful. They died on the spot with others sustaining various degrees of injuries. The two sisters have sadly been buried but residents and other family members are asking for justice to prevail.

Superintendent Isaac Kwesi Sorkpa confirms in an interview with Skyy Power FM monitored by BeaNana that it is impossible for anyone to kill two teenagers and go unpunished. According to him, he has already led a team to visit the family and they have been assured that the young man who killed their relatives will never go unpunished. He adds that an officer has been assigned to inform the family about the level of investigations because his outfit would not want to compromise on justice.

He was queried if the case was not unduly being delayed but he assured that the officer in charge has been asked to speed up the process. The driver in question also sustained several injuries and has since been at the hospital receiving treatment. However, once he has killed two persons, he will never be set free.

The Western Region has in the year 2021 reported 811 accident cases. 1463 cars are involved in all the accidents with private vehicles leading with 548 whilst commercial recorded 539.
