The Anti Corruption Court is investigating a possible intricate case of corruption linked to a 21-year-old college student due to the unusual amount of money in her bank account and cash discrepancies.

Felista Njoroge told the court that the more than 100 million found in her account was a gift from her Belgian boyfriend who wished the former could use the amount for her personal needs and to invest for their future children.

Today the court has also established that Felista Njoroge’s friend by the name Tebby Wambuku Kago also has 102 million according to a report by The Standard in her Equity Bank account. The money has been traced to Felista’s boyfriend Mr Marc De Mesel who works as a cryptocurrency expert in his home country.

Kago’s account initially had 139 million but the defendant cannot explain how she spent the missing 37 million.

Despite the abnormal huge amounts of cash in the bank accounts of the two young millionaires, they have vehemently denied claims that it was obtained through illegal means such as fraud or money laundering.

The Court has since frozen both accounts awaiting final investigations by the Asset Recovery Agency which will reveal the legitimacy of the money.
