The National Organizer of the CPP, Moses Yirimambo Ambing, has stated that as things stand now in the country, there is no way the NPP can win an election in Ghana if it is organized today.

Moses Yirimambo Ambing made this statement on ‘Good Morning Africa’ on Pan Africa television this morning, 14th December 2021, when he reacted to the caution by President Akufo Addo to his appointees who have presidential ambitions to resign to focus on their campaigns, and also gave his opinion on the chances of the NPP winning the 2024 elections.

According to Moses Yirimambo Ambing, he believes that Dr. Mahamud Bawumia will leverage his position as the Vice-president of Ghana to meet up with the delegates of the NPP and campaign for the flag bearership of the NPP, and nobody can take that away from him.

“For us who are bystanders watching what is happening in the NPP, we don’t think the contest for the flag bearership of the NPP is going to be a level playing field because already we have leading member of the NPP who have taken sides on who they are going to support and who’s agenda they are going to push.”

Moses Yirimambo Ambing revealed that it’s not going to be an easy struggle for the NPP, but all in all, President Akufo Addo has made a just call, and all of those who wants the NPP to perform should heed his advice and tender their resignations and move to their fields and campaign as potential flag bearers.

“For me, the NPP as a party, as it stands now there is no way the NPP can win an election if it is organize today.”

Moses Yirimambo Ambing indicated that anybody who emerges as the flag bearer of the NPP has a herculean task in the 2024 election because, as it stands now, the NPP government has disappointed the teeming masses of the youth in this country.

“And for me, sitting where I’m sitting and knowing what I know, and doing the kind of work I want to do on the grounds, I don’t see them ever overcoming the 2024 elections.” He added.
