Richard Nyamah, an NPP Deputy Communication Director and Hon. Alhassan Suhuyini, MP for Tamale North today, Monday, December 13, 2021 joined Johnnie Hughes On TV3’s The Big Issue. The trio delved into trending issues affecting the country. Before the discussions began Johnnie read the newspaper headlines of the various newspapers and spoke about the 70th anniversary of Tamale Secondary School. The event was attended by Vice President Bawumia and President Akufo-Addo.
While reading the headlines, Johnnie mentioned that Alhassan Suhuyini, his guest attended TAMASCO. However, when Alhassan Suhuyini got the chance to give his introductory comments, he fumed at the point that Johnnie Hughes had called him an alumnus of Tamasco. According to Suhuyini he went to a better school than the Vice President.
According to Suhuyini, he has nothing against Tamasco, but then Ghana Senior High School is far better than Tamasco. According to him Johnnie should have known better and not compared a better school like his to that of Bawumia. He cited the example that former president John Mahama attended GHANASCO and it was even there that he met his wife, Lordina. Suhuyini went on to add that about 22 MPs in Parliament also went to Ghanasco, a feat that makes Ghanasco better than Tamasco.
Johnnie Hughes had no choice but to apologize for the error to the delight of Alhassan Suhuyini. The MP also went on to say he meant no harm, but then the truth is clear for all to see that he went to a better school as compared to Vice President Bawumia.
