Gyakie Talks About Her Father’s Influence On Her Craft

Ghanaian musician, Jackline Acheampong who is known professionally as Gyakie has revealed the influence her father had on his career.

The father of the young sensational vocalist is legendary Ghanaian musician, Nana Acheampong and according to Gyakie, he really influenced her craft.

She made this known in a recent interview she had with the renowned media personality, Giovanni Caleb.

During the interview, the FOREVER hitmaker indicated that her father made her develop a love for music at a very young age adding that her father used to take her to the studio.

Gyakie has carved a name for herself in the Ghanaian music industry following the enormous success of her most popular song “Forever”.

Born to the legendary Highlife maestro, Nana Acheampong of the defunct Lumba Brothers, Gyakie began her music career at an early age since she had the maestro as her father. She already knew how to attune her ears to listen to good music and figure out different tones.

She made her professional debut in 2019, and her debut EP, Seed, was published in August of 2020. Her debut appearance was in the song “Sor Mi Mu” with Bisa Kdei, and she rose to prominence after the song “Never Like That”.
