Manchester United could face a horror Champions League last 16 draw against Atletico Madrid or mega-rich Paris Saint-Germain. The Red Devils won Group F after a 1-1 home draw with Young Boys on Wednesday night and focus has now switched to who they will play next. Uefa rules state teams cannot draw clubs from their own country until the quarter-finals. Nor can they face sides from their group in the last 16.

Arsenal star Mohamed Eleny is a January transfer target for mega-rich Newcastle, according to reports. The Egyptian midfielder has been a bit-part player under Gunners boss Mikel Arteta since he took charge. He has been resigned to the substitutes bench this season, and has barely featured in the Premier League. And the Mirror report that Toon chief Eddie Howe is targeting the 29-year-old in a deal next month.

Rafael Van Der Vaart threatened to walk out of a Dutch TV studio on Wednesday after comparisons were made between Timo Werner and Robin Van Persie. Werner scored twice for Chelsea as they drew 3-3 against Zenit in the Champions League group stages this week. The German striker has been highly criticised for his poor performances since joining the Blues in 2020, but put on a stellar display against the Russian side.

Emotional Robbie Savage had the honour of announcing his son’s arrival on the pitch as Charlie Savage made his Manchester United debut. Savage Jr, 18, was named on the bench against Young Boys and came on in the last five minutes to become the latest boy wonder to fill the boots of his famous father. Manchester United played with their young talents who featured against Young Boys as they had already qualified for round of 16 draw.

Manchester United star Eric Bailly channelled his inner Booker T during Wednesday’s Champions League clash with Young Boys. United interim manager Ralf Rangnick’s highly experimental side drew 1-1 with the Swiss champions at Old Trafford, with Bailly starting at centre-back next to Nemanja Matic, who captained the hosts. Bailly has impressed at Manchester United even after his lack of playing time, as Manchester United’s center back.

Who better between Bailly and Maguire? I prefer Bailly. Comment below and share for more news.
