The secret of men will always be in their stories. One 22 year old man has narrated his story in the prison house. He unveiled his story that led him into prison to Ibrahim Oppong of Crime Check Foundation. According to him, before his arrest he was working as a Mason who always go to different places to work. This young man said he is very addicted to smoking weed so at any given time he is in dire need of some to smoke. He said one day himself and the senior brother went to a certain place to work. Upon spending some time there he decided to go back home since he was not getting weed to smoke.
His senior brother also said he will never allow him to go and will only allow him to go on one condition. If he leaves, he is not going to give his money to him. His senior brother told him he will keep the money for him so when they are done and they meet at home then he gives to him. His brother was aware of what he was going to use the money for that is why he decided not to hand to him that time. It became a quarrel between them until he was able to get the money. Because of how he was in a hurry to leave he misplaced his phone and couldn’t find but he left without taking his time to search for it.
After his brother returned home, he asked him whether he peradventure saw the phone when coming. His brother said he saw it lying somewhere when he was sweeping the room but he thought it was for the person who gave them the room so he left it there. This made him furious thinking his brother has intentionally taken the phone and telling him cock and bull stories. They ended up fighting and both were injured. The injury he inflicted on his senior brother was intense. His brother was admitted to the hospital and was given police medical report. He said their mother wanted the case to be foolish but one day he went and drink alcohol and he came to cause trouble again.
He was still insisting his brother should give the missing phone to him. This made his brother angry and reported the case for him to be arrested. That was how he found himself in prison serving his jail term. So Mr. Ibrahim asked why he did that and he said for him he don’t know how to forgive if you step on his toes. He was asked whether if he gets angry no matter who comes to plead he will not forgive and he said yes. So Mr. Ibrahim was surprised and asked him whether he is a human being because he can’t fathom why a human being doesn’t have the spirit of forgiveness. He was just looking at him without uttering a word. He asked him if he gives birth and his children offend him that is the kind of treatment he will give them and he said no. It is really sad for someone to harm his own blood brother to that extent.
