Prophet Nigel Gaisie does not cease to register his dislike for the Akufo Addo government. He has dramatised the economic hardship experienced in the country, in a narration to a supposed vision he had today.
According to him, the Holy Spirit [God] is amused by the silence of some eminent people over what is happening in the country. He dramatised a chat he claimed to have had with God a spiritual encounter over the subject.
Prophet Nigel Gaisie claims he has been given a simple instruction to order these eminent men whose criticisms could awaken the government from ‘slumber’ as the country is heading for a ditch. But these comments are nothing short of a conjecture to his rather political biases against the Akufo Addo government.
By every indication, Nigel Gaisie is only seeking to give some currency to a personal statement by making it seem these words are from the Holy Spirit. How politically convenient this is.
He simply doesn’t want to own up to being political in this matter. Perhaps he needs to be reminded that the so-called ‘Critical Voices’ he referred to had men of God amongst them. The likes of Rev Prof Emmanuel Martey were openly critical of the John Mahama government but never made it as though it was a direction from God.
Nigel Gaisie is simply exaggerating his ‘anointing’ by representing his personal thoughts on matters of politics and governance as though it’s from God. This pretence is rather shameful and need not be encouraged.
Has he lost his mojo to criticise the government on his personal observations? Or he simply wants to court the attention of the government, the Inspector-General of Police, Dr George Akuffo Dampare, or his beloved National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Mind you, this is the very prophet who had prophesied doom for the Akufo Addo administration. The consistency with which he calls for a change of government is highly questionable, and that has caused some Ghanaians to label him as an NDC prophet.
