The manager of Ghanaian artist AK Songstress, Mr. Duke Banson has disclosed how a radio presenter took a whopping $20,000 to promote the songs of AK Songstress but didn’t.
During an interview on Onua FM, he told the host Christian Agyei Frimpong on Anigye Mmere Show that they are making waves in Nigeria rather than their homeland Ghana because he contracted a radio presenter to promote and push the artist but he only spent the money without doing the work.

“I gave someone who claimed he could push AK out there, I gave him a whopping 20,000 dollars and he could not do anything. He is the worst of all. Nothing happened. He only told me stories,” he told the host.
“This is the reason why we decided to promote the song from Nigeria. The song got the attention of Nigeria and 15 other countries. When it was accepted in the 5th country, that’s when Ghanaians heard Ak’s song. By then, ‘Jonathan’ was huge, so no one could block it. I have a motto, I always say, you can’t stop a moving train,” the executive producer sadly narrated.
Explaining further, Duke Benson stated that he knows that bloggers and DJs are partners in the game but he has realized that some of these people are short-sighted but will take the money but won’t promote the songs of artists.

“I only spent 25 percent of the money like a quarter of the money I used in Ghana in Nigeria and the song “Jonathan” is everywhere. They will say anything just to take your money.”
