Johnny Hughes, TV3’s vibrant journalist has hit hard at President Akufo-Addo again. Johnny has been at the backlash of many NPP supporters who have tagged him as NDC. According to his critics, they claim his consistent attacks on the presidency shows his political affiliation. Johnny on the other hand has explained that he is only doing his job as a journalist.

On ‘Johnny’s Bite’ today, Tuesday, December 7, 2021 Johnny queried the deteriorating nature of the economy under the leadership of President Akufo-Addo. According to Johnny, he joined TV3’s New Day in 2017 which was same time as when President Akufo-Addo was sworn in. He noted that since 2018, New Day has been ranked number 1 because of the scope and content presented on the show.

Johnny added that he and his team have worked hard and the polls are there to show that they deserve their number one position. He queried the scorecard of Akufo-Addo since 2017. He noted that President Akufo-Addo came in with much expectation and has sadly disappointed many with how things have turned out. He questioned the achievements of Akufo-Addo. According to Johnny, many things have gone wrong in the country and it was time the government wakes up. Johnny questioned what the scorecards of Bawumia, Chief of Staff, Education Minister will look like.

In a bold statement, Johnny mentioned that Ghanaians are disappointed with the government for a number of policies. He asked government officials to present their scorecards if they believe they are faring well. Johnny concluded that like the way he raised questions with the NDC when they were in power, he will continue to do same under this government.
