According to Star FM’s Francis Abban and Metro TV’s Bridget Otoo, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo has scheduled an emergency meeting with the leadership of the Ghana Private Roads Transport Union at the flagstaff House this afternoon.
Per their investigations, this happened after drivers in the whole Ghana held the country in hostage with strike action. Per the reports, the strike has been called off indefinitely as they await the words of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo.
This morning, thousands of Ghanaians treked from their houses to work, school and other places. Drivers attacked their colleagues who attempted to defy the strike process.
The protest of the drivers is based high fuel prices, bad roads among other demands. We’re hoping that the emergency meeting becomes fruitful with a full or drastic reduction of all forms of fuel.
If this is done, it will go a long way to affect businesses in a positive manner.
