Wisa Gried, the Ghanaian hiplife artist was charged for indecent exposure for his conduct during his performance at Citi FM’s “December 2 Remember” music program in 2015. The “Ekiki me” hitmaker was arrested and questioned for exposing his manhood midway through his performance. He was later granted bail. His conduct was greeted with public condemnation by the majority of Ghanaians. His management immediately apologized for the action of the artist.
An Accra Circuit Court presided over by Judge Abena Agyin, issued a bench warrant for the arrest of Wisa Gried for failing to attend court on Friday, February 5, 2016. The Court subsequently fined the artist for failing to appear before Court.Â
Kwame A-Plus has revealed that Wisa Gried’s fine for contempt of Court was paid by his Excellency Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo. Speaking on the United Showbiz on UTV, today, December 4, Kwame A-Plus disclosed that, he was the one who informed the President about the fine, and he ( Nana Akuffo-Addo) directed him to where to collect the money to settle the fine. Kwame A-Plus took the opportunity to advise everyone to be wary of the law since the law is no respecter of people.
“It was Nana Addo who paid the money for Wisa Gried when he was fined for contempt of Court. And I was the one who called His Excellency Nana Akuffo-Addo to inform him about it. He directed us to where to collect the money. Nana Addo did not try to influence the court because of his position”, he said.
