The political struggle that started some months ago may have ended, with no positive result as one of the political pressure groups in Lagos State, Lagos4Lagos, bowed out of wrestling power with the perceived political landlord of Lagos who is a former Governor of the State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

According to a report by the Phenomenal, hundreds of members of the Lagos4Lagos group were led by their leaders Olajide Adediran (Jandor) to defect from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to the opposition party in Nigeria, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). The defection which took place on Saturday, December 4 was, interestingly, monitored by the former President of the Senate, Bukola State.

The Point of Agitation by Lagos4Lagos Group

The Lagos4Lagos group had agitated that the former Governor of Lagos State and a national leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has been imposing governorship candidate on the party.

The Lagos4Lagos insisted that it was time that the group would overtake the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

They vowed that the group would take over affairs of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from the stewardship of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, with the aim of producing first progressive governor of Lagos that may not have the influence of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Did Lagos4Lagos Achieved Her Aim?

Actually, with the defection of the members of the Lagos4Lagos to the opposition party in Lagos State, the political group has failed woefully to accomplish their aim of relegating the political superiority of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Lagos State, in as much as the progressives politics is concerned in Lagos State. Hence, the group has failed to achieve her political aim.

The Superiority of Tinubu Leadership?

Noticeably, the former Lagos State Governor, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu may be considered to have felt little to no heat from the Lagos4Lagos group in Lagos State, before the group decided to part way with the party they vowed to fight.

The early defection of Lagos4Lagos group members in Lagos could be considered as a clear indication that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is, incomparably, strong; too dogged and mostly superb that the members of the group that vowed to pushed him out of APC have, uncontrollably, pushed themselves out of the party.

Considerably, the conveners of Lagos4Lagos group have rather quitted instead of staying back at the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to see, if they can have a toss of the dice. However, the exit of the group from the APC had, surely, positioned Tinubu as a leader whose superiority may, hardly, be toyed with in as much as Lagos politics is concerned.
