Accra Hearts of Oak striker, Kofi Kordzi says the club might have had tough times in the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season but is certain they will soon bounce back.

The bulky striker is experiencing some torrid moments having struggled to find his scoring boots in the domestic season. In Hearts of Oak’s opening three drawn games and a defeat of the season, Kordzi has found the net twice – first in their 1-1 finish at West Africa Football Academy in week two and same score line at home to two time champions, Aduana Stars. The 26-year-old fired blanks against Legon Cities in the opener and the fourth week defeat at AshantiGold in Len Clay Stadium.

He has scored just once in three games of the Phobians’ continental campaign. He fired Hearts of Oak’s opener in their 2-0 win over Guinea side, Club Industriel de Kamsar in the CAF Champions League preliminary at the Accra Sports Stadium. After elimination from the CAF Champions League, Kofi Kordzi is yet to score for Hearts against Algeria side, JS Saoura which they defeated 2-0 in the first leg in Accra.

The return fixture is in Bechar on Sunday with the Phobians sitting on Ibrahim Salifu and Isaac Agyenim Boateng’s two goals advantage. The 21 time Ghana champions need a win, a draw or a slim win to qualify for the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup. He tweeted:
