The Ghanaian society in general are well known for their hospitality and generousity. And the story of our very own Verda has been contributing to these facts about Ghanaians. Let me tell you her story;
Verda was born in Ghana and spent some of her early years. She and her mother migrated to abroad at the age of 8. She studied at Fitchburg High school and nailed it out there.
The Harvard freshman Verda who turned down a $40,000 scholarship is changing the lives of four of her fellow high school graduates.
Verda Annan refused the coveted scholarship from Fitchburg High School in June, saying there were others who needed the money more.
“I am so very grateful for this, but I also know that I am not the one who needs this the most,” said Annan, formally known as Verda Tetteh.
This kind gesture made waves and this story is shared on the popular Steve Harvey Show.
