Prof Gyampo asked if these men have lost their bite, given the history of their profound criticisms and outspokenness on matters of governance. He called out the National Peace Council, the Christian Council, Civil Society Organisations, and more specifically, Rev Prof Emmanuel Martey for being ‘cowardly’ withdrawn from passing a critique on what is happening in the country.
He asked if these eminent men have lost their mojo.
“Do we still have National Peace Council? Is the Christian Council there? Why are CSOs quiet? What is accounting for the low testicular fortitude of eminent men?Rev Prof Martey’s cry which he has stopped, is still relevant “Enyansa fo eeeeiii, mo wo hi?”
His comment inflames some concerns that have been raised by other political analysts and journalists in the country over how things are getting out of hand in the country. Prof Gyampo has consistently, over the past week question the conduct of the 8th Parliament ever since the 2022 Budget Statement and Economic Policy was read.

He had likened the situation in parliament to what happened in Malawi, where he quoted that “… at one point in time, could not sit and work for 4years because of lack of sincere dialogue between the opposition that had the numerical strength, and the ruling party.”
Prof Gyampo’s prayer is that these personalities rise up and speak some sense into our parliamentarians lest things get out of hands.
