Afia Schwar has sent heartwarming words to Akuapem Poloo who has been slapped with a 90-days jail term after the court refused her appeal when she returned to court on Thursday, December 1.
Recall that in April this year, Akuapem Poloo was to spend 90 days in jail on her own plea as she pleaded guilty to a charge of the publication of nude photos involving her son.
According to a report on GraphicOnline.com, the Criminal Division of the court presided over by Justice Ruby Aryeetey upheld the Circuit court decision on grounds that the Circuit court’s decision was not manifestly excessive.
“This court will not interfere and the appeal is therefore dismissed,” Justice Aryee said. The court ordered that in the absence of the convict, Akuapem Poloo’s child should be given to any competent person in the family to take care of.
Her prison term has caused a cacophony of noise on the internet and while offering her own subtle reaction, Afia Schwar put aside her animosity with the Ghanaian socialite to wish her well.
